While any trend scouting in stores and on social media can always help us find the ideal dress for a certain occasion, it's also true that nowadays there are so many options that, personally, I sometimes feel overwhelmed and confused. Many of my clients tell me the same thing.

For all of you who have experienced this, I genuinely recommend trying the custom-made dress option. It's true that having any piece made from scratch, specifically for you, can cause some uncertainty, but if you go to the right person, it will be a wonderful experience. Here are several benefits of "Custom made."

Fitting.

If commercial cuts don't suit you because you have more bust or hips than average, or if you're super slender or have a beautiful "curvy" body; a custom-made dress is always tailored. An exclusive pattern is made for you, and you can ensure that everything falls into place perfectly. Even the most wonderful dress, if it's too big or too tight in any part, can lose all its charm. On the other hand, a simple garment with a good cut elevates anyone's image.

Uniqueness.

Last year, I went to a wedding, and floral print dresses with waist cut-outs were super in. Unfortunately, at least 10 guests looked like photocopies, perhaps with a color variation. With a piece created only for you, you can embrace the trend but then adapt it to your personality. A different cut or an unusual color is enough. Of course, you eliminate the possibility of encountering someone else with the exact same model and hearing them say: "that was a great sale." You can handle it with attitude, but still...

Self-love.

Some might say: "what does this have to do with anything?" Believe me, I have created many custom dresses, and there's a part that makes the process very special, similar to going to a beauty salon. Since creating something unique involves two to four fittings, during which you typically observe yourself in a mirror for 30 minutes to an hour, we don't often take the time to truly see ourselves. First, almost 99% of us criticize ourselves: "hide this roll, tighten it to make me look thinner, add cups to make my bust look bigger... etc." Obviously, modifications are made so that the dress adapts to you and not the other way around, but the truth is that after a while, a moment of, I would say, acceptance arrives. Sometimes we remember that there are a thousand beautiful things, like pretty shoulders, a lovely smile, nice legs, and then what we didn't like becomes irrelevant. Moreover, between each appointment, you have time to dream of dressing your favorite doll—yourselves—buying earrings, choosing the ideal hairstyle, manicure, and shoes. You give yourselves more time and love than with a dress you try on, buy, and then don't see again until the event.

Creativity.

If you're someone whose imagination soars whenever you have the chance, your custom dress will allow you to do what you've only ever seen in your imagination. Typical phrases from a creative girl: "I once saw this and felt like seeing it this way but with this difference," "I once dreamed of this, but I've never seen it in any store," etc. If you identify with this, welcome to "Custom made."

Savings.

Indeed, the process of a unique dress can be more expensive because it's made for only one person, especially if you compare it to super "fast fashion" options. But if what you're looking for is a much more elaborate garment, which brands usually sell for a very high price, with creativity in construction and a good selection of fabrics, you can save a lot of money. You won't be paying for all the marketing and costs of a brand. However, out of respect for the original design, you should make your own adaptations and not just a "copy-paste."
