Bridal Collection 2024 by Débh Herrera "Perles de Mer"

Inspired by a mermaid woman, half fantasy, half reality, Mexican designer Débh Herrera presents her new bridal collection for 2024: "Perles de Mer."

Among draped chiffons like waves, Débh speaks to a woman capable of crossing oceans and overcoming her own limitations to realize her projects of love, partnership, and life. She evokes themes such as the glow of the sea with the use of sequins, as well as transparent embroidery with lines that seem to draw the movement of water. She incorporates the use of 3D maxi flowers in the shapes of jellyfish and starfish, all crafted on "nude" tulle to create "tattoo lace" effects with volume.

Once again, she presents options to transform a princess-style bridal look, with a maxi "drop waist" satin skirt, into a lighter and more modern version that blends the same bodice into a "body" with flared satin crepe pants. For this collection, she proposes the accessory of detachable optical tulle sleeves, adorned with pearls and crystals that simulate sea sand clinging to the skin.

Débh Herrera chose to shoot the campaign photos in Paris to commemorate the city that shaped her as a designer and her own journey as a mermaid in love with love and her dreams. The shooting was conducted by Italian photographer Matteo Pellegrinuzzi, with whom the designer had previously shot images of her dresses. French model Kelly Bresson was selected by stylist Ilan Benguigui.

Mexican designer Débh Herrera has over 20 years of experience and has studied communication and fashion marketing in Milan (IED MODA LAB) and Mexico (ITESM), as well as design in Paris, France (MOD'ART, MJM DESIGN).

She has worked on projects for brands such as Marni, Alexander Herchcovitch, Gucci, Nine West, Camper, AK Anne Klein, Deby Debo, and Velvetine.

Her work in fashion groups such as Yoox in Milan, Piagui in Mexico/USA, and Groupe Beaumanoir in Paris has also given her a business and commercial structure.

During five years in the city of light, she acquired knowledge of French haute couture techniques, which she combines with the casual and cheerful styles of Mexican consumers.

Her sophisticated designs showcase silhouettes with elements of art, architecture, and nature. She draws intimate inspiration from women's experiences and emotions, telling stories with each of her creations. She champions the lifestyle of modern girls who embrace their sensitivity as strength, not weakness.

She uses fine imported fabrics and occasionally designs prints and embroideries crafted in Mexico. She maintains her brand within a "slow fashion" system.
