Stories and dresses

Designing an exclusive, tailor-made dress, unlike thinking about a fashion brand or market, implies thinking about the person for whom the garment is created; from that moment, something unique begins to be conceived.

When a girl comes to my atelier looking for a piece for a special event, I love that she tells me not only the type of event, time, and place; but what it represents for her at that moment in her life. Thus, her emotions speak to me of colors; her actions of fabrics and the drape they require; and her dreams of silhouettes that seek to mark the way she wants to look to achieve what she plans.

Each dress becomes a life story represented by the art of creating fashion. The woman who renews herself seeks the fertility of green, the energy of yellow. The one who enjoys or seeks love naturally wraps herself in transparent and ethereal fabrics, seeks in each turn an ethereal caress of chiffon, tulle, and muslin. The one who wants to conquer her goals allows herself to be framed by a provocative neckline, and if she wants to do it delicately, she asks for a subtle opening in her skirt to take firmer steps.

Here I share the story in fabric of a woman with thousands of elements that coexist in harmony. She turns every obstacle into a leaf that envelops her and makes her stronger, thus the bodice of this dress with handmade appliques on tulle is born. Always positive, she blooms and leaves a trace of this in every step she takes, reason enough to add a train full of 3D flowers, embroidered with pearls and metallic threads. She enters and attracts glances with her confidence, she commands attention, but those who truly know her see her pink tenderness, her soft help with the texture of silk georgette.

Among my crossed paths, the dress was created in Mexico, but I presented it at a charity fashion show in Paris, where I had the opportunity to feature it in a beautiful shooting with Italian photographer Matteo Pellegrinuzzi and French model and dancer Clémence Waller.

The city was completely covered in snow, which created exceptional lighting, the cold was a challenge but Clém managed to perform beautiful turns. A very beautiful experience. I hope you enjoy the images and that one day over a nice cup of tea you will allow me to sketch your story.
